Rotary casing - a good helper for rotary drilling construction
What parts does the casing consist of?
Casing accessories include: casing adaptor, casing driver, casing shoe, and casing joint. Generally speaking, there are many types of full casing construction equipment. The commonly used ones on the market are: casing driver, casing oscillator, Vibroflot, casing rotator, full rotary drilling rig and dual power head multifunctional drilling rig. These products have their own advantages and are suitable for different geological characteristics and different engineering characteristics.
The casing driver (referred to as the driver) is a convenient casing driving device, which consists of a casing adaptor and a casing driver. Some brands on the market simplify the design of the casing adaptor and connect it with the power head, but the driving principle remains unchanged. The driver sinks the casing relying on the rotary drilling rig itself to provide torque and pressure. The casing adaptor is connected to the power head on the top and the casing driver on the bottom; the casing driver is connected to the casing on the bottom.
During use, the driver will not interfere with the drill tool and kelly bar, and the combined operation of sinking the casing and salvaging the rock and soil can be realized. The advantages of the driver are that the equipment structure is simple and the procurement cost is low. There is no need to add additional hydraulic stations or other large equipment to assist in construction. It can effectively improve construction efficiency and reduce construction costs in the construction of short piles and small-diameter piles. However, since the driver is limited by the torque and pressure of the drilling rig, if deep piles and large-diameter piles are encountered during construction, the torque and pressure will be insufficient, and the verticality of the piles is average.
