The working principle of a rotary drilling rig is to provide operating power through its engine system, which is transmitted to the power head through a hydraulic system. Under the rotation drive of the power head, torque is transmitted to the drill rod, causing the drill bit installed on the drill rod to rotate. At the same time, the pressure is also transmitted to the drill bit through the drill rod, thereby enabling the drill bit to achieve cutting and crushing of rock and soil. After the drill bit is in place, it is lifted out of the hole for unloading soil through the rotation and lifting of the main hoist. This process repeats until the drilling reaches the design depth and the drilling pile operation is completed.
The basic structure of a rotary drilling rig includes two main parts: the chassis and the working device. In terms of working principle, the rotary drilling rig first uses its own walking function and mast amplitude mechanism to ensure that the drilling tool can be correctly positioned at the pile position. Use the mast guide to lower the drill rod and place the bucket drill bit with a valve at the bottom in place. The power head device of the drilling rig provides torque to the drill rod, and the pressurization device transmits the pressurization force to the drill rod and drill bit through the pressurization power head. This process involves continuously taking and unloading soil until drilling reaches the design depth. For different rock and soil layers, rotary drilling rigs can use different techniques. For example, dry or clean water drilling techniques can be used in rock and soil layers with good adhesion, while static mud wall protection drilling techniques must be used in loose and prone to collapse formations.
