Limta double shell core barrel is maily applied in the following geological formations: gravel, boulder, medium weathered rock. In these formations, its efficiency is higher than the bucket, and its ability to carry residue is greater than a conventional core barrel.

Limta double shell core barrel with cutting rings can drill a stepped bores in the construction. The double cut improves the relaxation of the rock, especially in larger diameters hole drilling, making core breaking and core destruction easier.
