The type of pile

2024-05-21
There are various types of piles that can be classified according to different standards. The following is a classification of piles based on their bearing type, construction method, formation method, and other specific standards:
1、Classified by bearing type
1) Friction pile: The load is mainly borne by the frictional force of the soil around the pile, while the pile end resistance can be ignored. Further subdivided into friction piles and end bearing friction piles.
2) End bearing pile: The load is mainly borne by the pile tip support force, while the lateral resistance of the pile can be ignored. Including end bearing piles and friction end bearing piles.
3) Composite load bearing pile: a pile that bears significant vertical and horizontal loads.
2、Classified by construction method:
1)Prefabricated piles: Use machinery to drive prefabricated concrete piles, wooden piles, and steel sheet piles into the soil layer, compact the soil layer, and achieve the purpose of reinforcing the foundation.
2) Grouting pile: Using underwater concrete pouring to form end bearing piles or friction piles, in order to achieve the purpose of reinforcing the foundation. The specific methods include drilling and grouting piles, sinking pipe grouting piles, manual excavation and grouting piles, etc.
3) Other methods include manual excavation and mechanical excavation (positive circulation rotation method, reverse circulation rotation method, spiral drilling method, submersible drilling method, etc.) for explosive expansion grouting piles.
3、Classification by pile formation method:
1) Driving piles: Using machinery to drive prefabricated piles into the soil layer.
2) Grouting pile: Holes are formed in the soil layer through drilling, sinking pipes, manual excavation, and other methods, and then concrete is poured to form the pile.
4、Other classification methods:
1) Classified by the setting effect of piles: non squeezed soil piles, partially squeezed soil piles, and squeezed soil piles.
2) Classified by the appearance specifications of piles: long piles, short piles, medium long piles, variable cross-section piles, etc.
3) Classified by pile driving method: driving pile, pressing pile, vibration driven pile, tightening pile, etc.
4) Classified by raw materials: general concrete structure piles and reinforced concrete piles.
5) Classified by the cross-sectional shape of piles: solid core piles and hollow piles, circular piles and square piles, irregular piles, etc.
